CFOOTMAD Colorado Friends of Old Time Music and Dance
CFOOTMAD hosts numerous (way too many to list here!) dance events & lessons throughout the Front Range area. Colorado Friends Of Old Time Music And Dance is a local association of people dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of American traditional and historical dance, music and song. We’re folks who enjoy traditional and not-so-traditional folk dancing such as Contras, Squares, Mixers, and Couples Dances. Foot-stompin’ fabulous live music is provided for each dance by accomplished local or nationally-known bands and callers. www.cfootmad.org

Sharp Images Singles Dance

Top Tunes from 50's - 90's: Oldies, Swing, Pop, Country. This is a fun ballroom dance to dress up for, they average about 175 people every Sunday. Ages 40 and up.

Beginners, we'll help you to get started in this fun and versatile dance. Try it, take lessons, practice it, and you'll be hooked on this, the most sophisticated, form of swing dance. For Experienced dancers, use this opportunity to review your basics. Come early to Swing Club most Sundays from 5:30-6:00 p.m. to learn West Coast Swing basics from our most accomplished dancers. For further training we'll provide a list of our member instructors. Each month we cover the following:
Week 1: Basic explanation of West Coast Swing; Basic footwork; Under arm turn, Side arm pass.
Week 2: Review and Sugarpush
Week 3: Review, Basic whip footwork, Basic whip.
Week 4 Review, Tuck footwork, and Basic 1 or 2 handed tuck turn.

"Holly and I are starting a Christians' dance at our studio location on the 3rd Sunday of each month. We'll be teaching a free dance lesson."

Ages chiefly 50's & 60's, you can't find a nicer group of people.
Attire: wood floor so loafers would probably be best.
On Tuesday evenings they teach beginners the fundamentals of square dancing. In the spring you can advance to the Saturday evening get-togethers with people that have been doing it for years. Many of the experienced dances volunteer on Tuesdays to be your dance partner if you don't have one.

Come learn to Country Western Dance and then show up at the Stampede the first and third Fridays with fellow classmates and graduates and just have fun learning and continuing enhancing your skills. This is the best way to meet a bunch of nice single people and just have fun. About 40 people attend the lessons up each Tuesday.
